Do the Fright Thing, and some rambling.

So last night I attended Ghoul Poon/Witness/Wake Up Electrified/Charlie Everywhere in Glens Falls. It was my first time seeing GP's set. Blew me away. Some drunken cunt kept trying to dance in front of me and get my attention, but the worst thing you can do in those situations is actually give them attention. ignore them, they go away. So I missed out on some of "Botanica", because I had to turn around and order a jack and coke from the bar to try to passively fend this bitch off, but in general, Ghoul Poon owns live. Witness, a little white rapper from philly I thought it was going to be garbage, but he is a skilled kid, and put on a great show. Wake Up Electrified, well, I didn't enjoy them as much, but they were entertaining. Charlie Everywhere, always good. What can I say? Talking to Josh and Sarah afterwards, I may be remixing "When I'm Small" soon. Looking forward to that. Quite a bit. anyways...

Shane was handing out early copies of "Do the Fright Thing", the Halloween compilation he has put together (i'm track 4 if you care), so it was a little bonus for attending. The comp has some really great stuff on it. Shane appears on it like 500 times, in his various forms, and his ghoul poon counterpart and my friend Chris Brown also is on there numerous times. Not to mention (even though I am) it is loaded with great area groups like Desperately Obvious, Worlds of Shit, Pinkriverdolphin, Beware! The Other Head of Science, Firefighter Font, Scientific Maps, and a ton more (21 tracks in total). So, it will be available for download from sub-bombin.com soon and you can also grab a copy at ghoul poon shows. so do it, you won't be disappointed.

Exciting things on the horizon.

Some i don't want to say out loud, as they seem to good to be true. Working on the music for a cover of "What I've Seen" by Daniel Johnston for Shane. Speaking of, played the UAG with him the other night in a full on noise set. Half my shit stopped working during set up. So I played feedback, as much as someone can. It was a good set though i think. It's nice hearing people clap and shit, and mean it. You can tell when they don't.

anyways, the general reaction to mute seems to be fairly positive. So, if you haven't yet, pick up a copy or download it. As always I am recording new stuff. I think it's an addiction. Maybe I'll shit out a new e.p. before the end of the year. we'll see.

might start a new band with some friends of mine.

Mute

In the next couple of days, I will be putting up a new E.P. for download. It's called "Mute" and it follows a thread dealing with, well, basically, writers block. Or musicians block. or painters block. whatever you want to call it. Anyone who actually creates things knows how downright fucking awful it feels to not be able to do it for periods of time. "Mute" was written in one of those periods. It has two songs on it that you may have already heard "The Monster" and "Hissing in the Speaker". Plus a couple of new ones. It is by far the weakest E.P. of mine to date. But it's like the fourth orgasm of the day, it's not as great, but you're still happy to get it out. In all reality, I don't feel like this e.p. is for the casual listener. It's for the blocked thinkers. It's not inspiration for them though, it's more like, "Hi, I feel that way too." anyways, a few days from now.

also, on a side note, I've spent a while against you. I'm tired of it. I no longer am familiar.
